This article analyzes the impact of training on the knowledge level of the “Direct Money Program in Schools” (PPDE) and a selection of its subprograms, or "integrated actions." The quantitative study involved 843 participants who completed a distance training course offered by one of the Collaborative Centers for Program Monitoring and Management Support (Cecampes), partners of the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE). The data analysis, based on descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests, revealed that the distance course with tutoring significantly increased the participants’ knowledge about the PDDE and the 12 “Ações Integradas” evaluated. Furthermore, there was increased knowledge regarding PDDE management and monitoring processes. According to Cohen’s parameters (1988), the effect size ranged from small to large, and the Wilcoxon test confirmed significant differences in all variables analyzed. It is concluded that the training offered by Cecampe had a positive impact on the participants’ knowledge level, indicating the potential to improve the quality of basic education.
