This article presents the results of a systematic review that aims to map the Brazilian theses developed by students completing graduate programs in education between the years 2013 and 2021. This is a quantitative and qualitative research carried out using the CAPES Catalog of Theses and Dissertations to select with the selection of works that addressed the delimited theme of postgraduate graduates and that adopted postgraduate graduates in the defined methodological path, that is, as research subjects. After selecting the theses, a technical systematization was followed by a more in-depth qualitative analysis, which sought to highlight the general objective, methodology, subjects involved, data collection, theoretical references and main results of the research. The results point to the potential of studies developed with graduates for the courses involved and the educational scope in general as well as identifying changes in the trajectory of graduates provided by the formative path followed. The study thus highlights the training potential of postgraduate studies from the perspective of graduates and the importance of studies involving graduates to deepen knowledge about policies and practices in this educational segment. It is expected to bring greater visibility to studies with graduates as a source of information and improvement of the formats adopted in postgraduate courses for significant professional development.
