This study aims to analyze the conceptions of pedagogical work, according to professors of the master’s in professional and technological education (ProfEPT). When describing the perceptions of pedagogical work, teachers show not only how compatible their work is with the proposal, but subliminally indicate the pedagogical trends and perspectives that guide the course and are intertwined in the production of pedagogical work. To this end, theoretically and methodologically, this text is anchored in a dialectical prism, from the analysis of movements of senses, applied in the production and analysis of data. The data collection tool was a questionnaire applied to teachers of the program, nationwide, through the Google Forms platform. The study is divided into four sections: a) an explanation of the methodological procedures; b) a brief history of graduate studies in Brazil and, in it, the historicity of ProfEPT; c) a discussion of ProfEPT, in the current context of Brazilian graduate studies; d) and analysis and discussion of the research data. In addition to concluding thoughts, the authors explore a) how the meanings of pedagogical work in postgraduate studies are manifested; and b) opportunities to establish meanings about pedagogical work within ProfEPT. Three meanings of pedagogical work identified in ProfEP were associated with personal senses and feelings, external requirementsm, and compliance with the Program's regulatory standards.
